HOW TO POSTPONE/RESCHEDULE YOUR WEDDING
While your wedding is primarily YOUR wedding, a wedding postponement means changing many plans for many other people, including our guests and vendors. For this reason, it is important to approach postponing your wedding with that mindset.

1. STAY INFORMED
Stay informed as much as you can and follow CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and local government pages.
2. CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE
Check with your insurance if you have one. Explore what your policy covers before reaching out to vendors.
3. READ ALL YOUR CONTRACTS
Read all your contracts you have with vendors about their cancellation policy. If you have questions or doubts, contact a lawyer.
4. CONTACT YOUR VENDORS
Start with your planner and your venue. Try to find a date in the near future. However, be open-minded for other days in the week besides the weekend. Once you reschedule your wedding, reach out to your other vendors. Believe me, I 100% understand you want to have a wedding of your dreams, but please remember every single vendor is usually a small business owner and they try to survive too.
First vendors you contact are:
– Photographer, Videographer
– Florist
– Band
– Caterer
Then, reach out to others.
5. INFORM YOUR GUESTS
Let your family and friend know that your wedding has been postponed to a new date.
6. KEEP CALM & THANK YOUR TEAM
Remember, at the end of the day, your loved ones want to see you get married whether it’s two months from now or next year. Please be supportive and understanding! It would be very nice if you can recommend your vendors to other people. You can write a positive review or give them shout out on social media. THANKS!
