What is a Mini Session?
A mini photo session is just that, a short photo session. Normally my portrait sessions last about 1.5 hour and mini sessions up to 25 minutes. These 25 minute sessions is a shorter time that lets you have the advantage of a professional photographer with out incurring the cost of a full session. Mini-sessions help me accommodate more families & couples since the sessions are shorter and booked one after another.
Why would I want a mini session?
Mini sessions are great for specific things like, Christmas cards, holiday photos for your annual news letter, or just a quick family picture.
How many people can be included in a Mini-Session?
These mini-sessions are designated for immediate families and couples. If you would like to book a session with extended family, I would recommend a full photo session, or two mini-sessions back to back to ensure enough portrait time for everyone.
What about pets?
Pets are definitely welcome! Just be sure to bring a leash, some treats, and a squeaky toy to keep your pet’s attention.
When and how many images will we receive?
Within 3 business days after your Mini-Session, you will receive an invitation to view an online proofing gallery. This gallery will allow you to see ALL of your images (around 40 – 60 images) from your Mini-Session. You’ll be able to choose 10 images from your proofing gallery and download them in high resolution. If you love more than 10 photos, you’ll be able to purchase additional image downloads via the online gallery.
Can I print my images?
You’ll be able to print your images anywhere you’d like.
What kinds of print products do you offer?
Prints, gallery wraps, albums. If you’d like to purchase any of these products, I encourage you to do so directly from your photo gallery. The photos are printed at the nation’s premier print lab and look so darn pretty!
How long will be my online photo gallery available?
3 months.
What should we wear?
Dress comfortably; don’t feel like you need to “dress up” because it’s an occasion. Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. Whether that’s ripped up jeans or a summery skirt, you do you! 🙂 Think about your location, climate, and surroundings. For example, if I’m shooting in an area with plenty of warm tones, using a cooler wardrobe will help balance that out! The most important thing is to wear what you love, be creative and have FUN!
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself, your family and a sense of fun! Leave all the bags at home. Extra props tend to make shooting more difficult, so minimalism is the best way to go! However, I always encourage my clients to bring special treasures that are important to their kids, like a beloved stuffed animal etc. Please leave extra toys and snacks in the car if you do not want them included in your photos.
Will you have any props at our mini session?
Yes, I’ll have several different blankets.
Can we change outfits?
Given the shortened time frame of the mini-session, there will not be time for outfit changes.
Can I book two mini-session slots in a row?
For three or more children, I would recommend booking two different mini-sessions. This way we have time to photograph each child individually & together.
What if my child doesn’t smile?
Kids pick up on stress. If you are stressed that they aren’t smiling, believe me they won’t smile and look happy. Sometimes silly games can work too. Letting kids run around for a few minutes to get out their energy can work wonders, and I can capture some great shots that way as well.
When should we arrive to our mini session?
Try to get to your session 10-15 minutes before your session time. However, please wait near your car until it is your session time, so you don’t intervene with another session. Sessions are booked back-to-back with very little time between sessions. If you are late for your mini session, I will not be able to extend your session time as it will impede on another client’s time.
What if we’re running late to our Mini-Session?
If you are more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled session, your session time will be voided and your mini-session will have to be rescheduled and credited towards a full session. Your session coverage will begin at your scheduled session time, so the longer you’re late, the shorter amount of time you have in front of the camera. There will be NO refunds for missed or late mini-sessions.
What will happen to our Mini-Session if it rains?
Fingers crossed for good weather, but unfortunately, the weather is out of our control. If mini-sessions have be rescheduled due to rain, I will email/call/text you the night before your session with different available day. If for some reason you cannot make it and you cancel with more then 24 hours notice, you can use the credit towards a future full session. There will be NO refunds for any Mini-Session purchase.
What is your cancellation policy?
Mini-sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. Please make sure before booking that you are available on the date and time you book! If you cancel with more then 24 hours notice you can use the credit towards a future full session.
Can I give or sell my mini-session to someone else?
Absolutely! You can gift or sell your mini-session if you are unable to attend.

How do we sign up for a Mini-Session?
Registration for these Mini-Sessions will be held in here https://calendly.com/monikagauthierphotography/. These sessions are on a first come, first serve basis….so book early! Sessions will fill up FAST!
How much are Mini-Sessions? How do we pay?
The cost for my Mini-Session is $250! Payment will be required at time of registering for Mini-Session via Paypal. All sales are final and payment is non-refundable.
We missed online registration! Can I just book an additional Mini-Session with you?
Unfortunately, due to the high demand for weddings, portrait sessions, and mini-sessions this year…I will not book any additional mini sessions until 2020. The ONLY way you’re able to book a mini-Session will be through the this website with available dates. I am also not able to hold or reserve any Mini-Sessions via email or Facebook messaging.
I’ve booked the Mini-Session! Now what?
Once you’ve booked your Mini-Session, you will receive a confirmation email within 1 business day of your booking with a Mini-Session Agreement. A signed copy of the Mini-Session Agreement is due at check-in on your scheduled mini-session date and time.

I want to schedule something outside of a mini-session because I would like to have an extended family shoot done. How do I schedule that?
You can certainly do that. Please keep in mind space is limited this time of year and you will want to reserve your date asap. Email me at photography@monikagauthier.com.
